Edinburgh Award 2017
5 July 2017
Win a Pleasance, London run and £500.
We will be back at the Fringe for the eleventh year running with our Edinburgh Award.
We’re looking for an outstanding new production from an emerging company at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, in association with Pleasance Theatres.
The prize is £500 and a run at Pleasance Theatre, London in the autumn (dates to be discussed) with no rental or technical costs and a 70/30 share of box office.
Your production must be brand new – new writing, new devised theatre, a new adaptation or (for example) an innovative reworking of a film or a play.
We will select the shows we see based on the strength and relevance of an application.
If your application is successful, we’ll send a member of the NSDF team to see your show.
How to apply:
Email firstname.lastname@example.org and request an application form. Please put Edinburgh Award in the Subject Line.
The deadline for us to receive a completed form is Monday July 31st at 12 noon. Please email the completed form to Michael Brazier.
Entries will be assessed based on its merit and suitability for the award and transfer. Unfortunately, we will be unable to see all entered shows.
The award is specifically to support emerging artists/companies who make orginal work and give them the opportunity to showcase their work in London, build contacts and their audience.
1) Shows must be running for weeks 1 and 2 of the Fringe for us to see them and week 3 to get the benefit of the Award publicity.
2) Companies must be willing and able to transfer the show to London, in association with NSDF and The Pleasance.
Please note that the costs of travel and accommodation in London and any associated costs eg: transport of set, will be your cost.
3) All members of your company must be between 16 and 25 years old.
