Making a New Musical

Musical Theatre

In this workshop we will explore the process for making musicals and some of the key crafts (design, direction, composition, lyrics, performing) utilised. Nick will use his own show, ON THE OUTBREATH, an original chamber musical brought to the Festival by a Hull University company in 1984, to evidence this.

Nick was a former Head of Acting at both Central and LIPA, where is currently still teaches. He was a member of OBIE award-winning gay clown troupe Bloolips. His involvement with NSDF includes Selector, Noises Off Editor, workshop co-ordinator and Judge and Board member.
